Camp Rocky Creek
Situated on 120 acres of beautiful, forested land in Cornwall, PA, YMCA Camp Rocky Creek provides day and overnight camping experiences, environmental and adventure education, and community events to youth and families. We are committed to quality, safety, affordability and accessibility.

As a branch of the Lebanon Valley Family YMCA, Camp Rocky Creek strives to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.

Our History
Steeped in tradition, YMCA Camp Rocky Creek was previously known as YMCA Camp Shand. Prior to Camp Shand, it was Camp Kiwanis. In 2021, the Lebanon YMCA partnered with the Lebanon County Commissioners to continue to operate the camp and to keep it within our community. Today, our purpose is to improve the quality of life in our community by offering programs, services and facilities that promote strong families, good health, fitness, wellness, community services, child and adult development with equality for all.

Adventure Day Camp
Whether this is your camper’s first time testing the waters or the camp is their home away from home, Camp Rocky Creek is here to welcome them. Day camp sets a foundation for longer camping experiences and is the perfect way to encourage your camper to find confidence in the outdoors. During the day, campers will be unplugged and truly learn more about social, natural and creative environments.
Day Camp is offered Monday-Friday and is available for campers 6-13 years old.
*Campers must have completed Kindergarten
New this Summer: Optional Wednesday overnights for $25 a week. Try out an overnight opportunity mid week and get a taste of overnight camp before your own session this year or next year!
Only offered on weeks running simultaneously with overnight camp. Interested participants must call or email the camp office (717-450-3565 [email protected]) to register for this special overnight opportunity.
Scholarships
The YMCA has made a commitment not to turn anyone away due to the inability to pay. We want youth to experience everything camp has to offer, so if you cannot afford the cost of our lowest tier, you can apply for additional assistance by completing a YCRC Financial Assistance application. June 9-13: Here Comes the Fun
Welcome to Summer! Join us for week one to celebrate the start of camp! Participate for lots of traditional and new camp activities and compete to see which camp group really has the Camp Rocky Creek spirit!
June 16-20: Mission: Possible
Campers will become spies and detectives! Tackling daring covert missions, solving mysteries, and putting their creativity and problem-solving skills to the test.
June 23-27: Heroes in Training
We’re brave and we’re bold! We need everyone to unite and defeat the camp villains and protect the entire camp. Learn what it takes to become a hero and how to use caring, honesty, respect and responsibility to guide your adventure! *Overnight Camp Running Simultaneously
June 30- July 3: Color Craze
Like getting colorful? Camp will be all about the colors we see every day, which will include our fan favorite – Color Battle! This theme is typically one of the camp favorites, so register early.
July 7-11: Shipwrecked
Ahoy, there – Are you ready for a week-long treasure hunt with pirate-themed activities. Whether you want to find the buried treasure or walk the plank, you are in for a fun-filled week of discovery. Do you have what it takes to find the hidden treasure, but be on the lookout for pirates! *Overnight Camp Running Simultaneously
July 14-18: Time Traveler
Get ready to travel through time & space! Campers will bring back styles from our favorite decades as we throw back to the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s and launch forward to the future! *Overnight Camp Running Simultaneously
July 21-25: Splashtacular
Get ready to be in the splash zone! Beat the summer heat with a water-filled week of thrilling activities. Your camper will be sure to have lots of water fun on the lake, in the pool and all-around camp!
July 28-Aug 1: Fairytales & Fantasies
Be our guest this summer as we dream, soar, and dive into a whole new world of stories and imagination! This will be a week filled with fairy tales, fantasy, and the enchanting magic of make-believe! Get out of the swamp and into camp for a wild week full of your favorite fairy tales and magical opportunities! *Overnight Camp Running Simultaneously
Aug 4-8: Lost in Space
Buckle up, campers, and get ready for some intergalactic camp fun! Camp Rocky Creek has been turned into Rocky Creek Space Station and we need your help exploring space and our planet! *Overnight Camp Running Simultaneously
Aug 11-15: On the Wildside
Take a step on the wild side as we go on an adventure! Campers will find their wild sides as we compete in nature games, explore the lake, hike in the forest and discover how wild Camp Rocky Creek can be!

Family Adventure Day
Get a taste of Summer Camp with the whole family and see why our campers love Camp Rocky Creek!
Our Family Adventure Day offers a little bit of everything! And your child will love their first taste of camp so much that they will want to sign up for Day camp or Overnight camp this year or next year! This event is designed to gently guide even the youngest campers outside of their comfort zones, challenging them to take positive risks and engage in decision making activities. It only takes one day of camp to positively impact a child’s future.
The entire family is welcome to join us at this event, but you must have at least one child (5 years old or older) participating.
*All members of your family must register for this event, adults & children!

Open House
Join us for a Camp Open House to learn about the summer fun we have planned!
Camp open houses are open to all interested families. Get to know some of our camp leaders, learn about all of the fun we have planned and take a tour of camp!

Overnight Camp
Overnight Camp is the perfect opportunity for your child to immerse themselves in all aspects of camp! While camp is structured, it allows each child the independence to design their schedule. There are different opportunities where they will spend time with their cabin mates and will have the opportunity to choose from a variety of activities like creative arts, athletics, environmental discoveries, paddle sports, high adventure, swimming, target sports and more!
Campers will be exposed to a rustic camping, staying in cabins for the week, and build their confidence while exploring a breathtaking outdoor environment. This unplugged experience will bring long-lasting friendships and a lifetime of memories.
Overnight camp is available for those who are ages 8-14.
All Overnight Campers receive a free FOX T-SHIRT at camp!
Tier pricing is not income-based but is based on what your family is comfortable with paying. All campers receive the same camp experience regardless of the tier their family pays.
- TIER A: This tier most closely reflects camp operations. We ask families who are able, to participate at this level
- TIER B: This tier is partially subsidized through funding from donors. Please participate at this level if it is right for your family.
- TIER C: This tier is more heavily subsidized through funding from donors. Please participate at this level if it keeps camp affordable for your family.
